2009 - Well just another year to many people i know, but for me it was really a quicky and good one filled with lots of ups and downs, but the ups have surely outweighed the bad ones. This year i did lot of things which i always wanted to do since a pretty long time. The year in which i have driven down to one of the most beautiful and remote places in india (Either on my Bike, car, Plane and train). The total distance i covered in this entire year is somewhat close to 14500km combined. The year in which i saw my Nephew turning 2 and still growing in happiness like a small flower. The year i completed 1 year in NSN with a very small hike in my salary. The Year i lost ties with some of my closet buddies and also when i made so many buddies for the rest of my life.
January being my birthday month so it had to be very special for me. The clelebrations went through the entire month. First week of Jan i visited Amritasr and what a time i had over there.Had stayed at my cousins place and guess had the best moment of life sitting in the GOLDEN TEMPLE for about an hour and i was taken to a new world. Then enjoying some of the famous and mouth watering delicacies out there. Coming back to Delhi after a good long weekend to join my stupid office life, but as i said this month was a rocking time for me so the day i came back from my Amritsar trip, we all had decided to have a birthday spree the very next week. Just to tell Manu, Smita and Jatin had their Bdays in the month of dec so they were also joining me in our lovely treat. This month i had some of th bestest bday till now.
February
This year this month didn t had anything special for me in its store but i celebrated the Valentine's day with my bike. This V day i drove down to SURAJKUND mela and TUGHLAGH Fort with my other members of the BULLS ON PARADE CLUB (BOP). The Moment i was done with the VDAY celebrations, i had to visit Panipat for one of my best friends sis engagement, met our old college chap Ajay who had come down from Australia during that time. It was so fun remembering the time we spent together in college. The moment the wedding scene was over i had to once again reach amritsar as my office friends were supposed to come and spend some time out there. So this was my 2nd visit to the holy city. I dont mind going there anytime.
March
This was the month in which i had driven down to Kurukshetra with my club Bulls on parade. The place was covered in a span of just one day and this was the first time i lied to my parents as to where i was going and guess the tradition goes on.....ha haa just kiddin. March was hell of a work load in the office and as usual i was never in a mood to face this official atyachaar.
April
On 7th april i had completed my one year working in NSN and having some good and bad memories for the same. The people of my batch were pretty happy sharing some good time with each other, but guess few of us were not, we had our i guess first and last anniversary lunch. I also once again rode with my fellow mates of BOP to check some historic site in Delhi named as "BAWARI". Guess the moment we came back from Kurukshetra we were on the expedition of searching the Indian history in and out. The foodie spree was also completed this month. I had visited chandni chowk for some delicacies with 2 of my best friends in office. Also this was the month in which i had lost ties with someone who was very dear to me and we have never spoken since then.
May
This was the month in which i had got a chance to relive my school days, as had gone for a night out with my old school mates. I was so happy seeing my chaps after guess 10 years.....everything changes so fast. Also covered one more historic monument, some qila in Delhi. The plan for my next ride which was to Lansdowne was also done this month.
June
During the time when my ride was being planned for Lansdowne in May i was the most excited one for the ride. The ride day had finally came and on 15th i with my 13 other fellow members left for the place and wow was thw word when we saw the place. The place is very calm and a must visit for everyone.
July
As many say i am a wondering soul always in a rush, guess i proved them that i am just a traveler and nothing stops me for doing what makes me feel good. This month i was again on a trip to the Shivalik Range with my office friends. The places which we covered were, Kasauli, Shimla, Kufri, Chail and Fagu and i named thsi trip of mine as MOUNTAIN TAMERS. August
August was the month in which i had spent some good time with my family members and was on a small road trip to Agra with my family members. Guess i proved them wrong by going on this trip..(They always say i am always there for my friends)....mom see i am also there for you.... Celebrated my brother's bday grand style and was happy to see him dwelling into his small family.
September
All the time while i was roaming with my office friends or my club mates, i was always tauntefied by my college best friend Kanul residing in Mumbai that i never come to meet him, as i used to promise him every month that i would come. Finally after a long wait me and my friend Joey had decided to go to Mumbai and have some fun, but guess the gods were not in our favor. The time we were about to start our lovely trip India was struck with a stupid disease called SWINE FLU and our parents were not allowing us to visit as Mumbai and Pune were the hub during that time for the same. But when finally we convinced our parents then came another fuk up...Kanul who was in mumbai had to come to Delhi as his sis was leaving for Australia and the scene was postponed for some time. With this Joey was not able to get the leaves and i was left alone to go to Mumbai. Reached Mumbai and guess wat i regretted myslef for coming down this shithole. Mumbai sucks big time and was dying to get back to Delhi. But all in all it was fun, met my buddies after pretty lon time and drank till the time our eyes popped out. And as i cam back from Mumbai i had this one event waiting for me to unleash my official outburst. We BOP were invited down by Makemytrip.com on their event named "OFFISIAL ATYACHAAR". This event was all about telling other people how do we manage keeping a balance between our professional and personal lives.
October
Phewwwww.....by d time October arrived i was tired of travelling to all the places mentioned above either on my Bike or any other means of transport. But this was the month in which we (Office friends and me) have decided to visit Goa and have some real fun. WHOAAAAAAAAA.......was the month for me, as i had to attend the Anniversary ride of my Bullet Club, BULLS ON PARADE. The invitation was sent to all of us long time back in September and i was the first one to send in mine confirmation, as i could have not missed the chance of being on the journey of a life time. The Destination we drove this time was "RANTHAMBORE".
The Journey started with a full on BOP style, but after some time we were struck with one of the most saddest thing, our fellow comrade Rishi had met with an accident and was really in a very bad condition, but he is recovering now pretty well. I was the second one who came to know about his mishap, thanks to the Car guy who warned me regarding the same. The moment i saw his bike i was like god pls save him, and all of us were shattered as this was not expected during this big ride. All of us were in a delima whether to continue the ride or not, but finally we pinned down Ranthambore and always prayed for Rishi's good health. I also had a chance to celebrate EID in Chandni chowk this year. I swear that place looks so beautiful during that time. My friend Sorabh was also a part of my journey till last year this time, God Bless him. He was one person who was always dere to help oders and i miss him even till date.
December
As i approach the end of a glorious year i had this time, i once again decide to end the year the way it started, yes you got it visiting the Golden Temple again for the third time. I will be leaving for Amritsar on 24th and comming back on 28th. In the meantime i also rode with a club named REVS MC to Alwar and Sariska was great fun, the roads of Rajasthan are just awesome, so on 19th i visited the same place with 2 of best friends Amndeep singh Rana and Gursimran Singh. This being my 2nd car trip to Rajsthan, its always a fun being with them. One more historic site was covered during this trip, we covered the Bella Qila.
